In Kursk, a joint visit of the Committee for Economic Development and Entrepreneurship, the Department of Municipal Control and the Administration of the Central District took place. The inspectors visited two stores of the Europe chain – Karl Marx Street and Victory Avenue.
The reason was the appeal of citizens, who were outraged by cooking on an open fire right in the parking areas of retail outlets. The topic was raised at a meeting of the government of the Kursk region, which was led by Governor Alexander Khinstein.
Residents say that the smoke and smell of fried meat pulls into the apartments of neighboring houses, especially on warm days when the windows are open. The inspectors were also confused that the barbecue was placed in the parking area, including in a place reserved for people with disabilities.
- We count on understanding and ask not to cook products on open fire in the parking area. It is important to take into account the interests of residents of nearby houses and not create inconveniences for them, said Marina Sorokina, Chairman of the Committee for Economic Development and Entrepreneurship.
The trading network made comments and promised to take measures to resolve the situation.
Inspectors warned that if complaints are repeated, checks with the involvement of Rospotrebnadzor and the Ministry of Emergency Situations are possible - they will assess compliance with sanitary norms and fire safety rules.
