The introduction of intelligent transport systems continues in Kursk. The last example - on the street 50 years of October, near the house No. 165, started to work a new hardware and software complex photovideo fixation. The camera was mounted between the bus station and the Polytechnic College.
The reason for the installation of the equipment was the unfavorable accident statistics on this section of the road. Only last year, two road accidents were recorded here, in which three people were injured, the Ministry of Transport of the Kursk region said.
The new complex operates non-stop. The device automatically detects cases of excess speed. As noted in the Department, drivers-infringers will be issued an administrative fine.
By the end of 2026, it is planned to launch another 31 similar complexes in the region. The cameras will appear not only in Kursk and Zheleznogorsk, but also on federal and regional highways.
