In the Kursk perinatal center celebrated the Day of pregnancy
In the Kursk regional perinatal center held events for the Day of pregnant women

For expectant mothers, a concert program, master classes and useful live broadcasts were prepared.
The event was attended by First Deputy Minister of Health of the region Pavel Kalutsky, Commissioner for Children’s Rights in the Kursk Region Natalia Listopadova and Deputy Chairman of the Kursk City Assembly, coordinator of the Strong Family project of the United Russia party Elena Besedina.
Pregnancy Day is celebrated twice a year - October 7 and April 7. Within the framework of the holiday, events are held to support expectant mothers: consultations of specialists on pregnancy and childbirth, information about a healthy lifestyle and proper nutrition, as well as master classes on preparing for childbirth, newborn care and child development.
The regional perinatal center is the largest medical institution in the region, where pregnant women, mothers and newborns are helped. Doctors successfully nurse babies born with a weight of 500 grams.
In total, 3033 children were born in the perinatal center since the beginning of 2026: 1,544 boys and 1,489 girls, including 31 twins. The number of births is 3021, of which 312 are partners.
Since the beginning of the year, 132 children have been born in the perinatal center thanks to the IVF procedure. People who dream of becoming parents, but experience difficulties, undergo in vitro fertilization free of charge under the MHI policy thanks to the national project “Family”.
