In the Kursk region police seized 2.5 kg of drugs
In the region, the second stage of the All-Russian operation “Messages where they trade in death!”

In the region, the second stage of the All-Russian operation “Messages where they trade in death!” was completed. The events took place from September 21 to October 2. The main goal of the campaign was to counter the spread of drugs and prevent their consumption, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Kursk region reported.
Not only police officers, but also representatives of executive authorities, local self-government, volunteers, as well as specialists in the field of drug treatment and prevention joined the work.
During the campaign, law enforcement agencies received 130 appeals from citizens. Most of them dealt with issues of illegal trafficking of prohibited substances, the rest - requests for advice on treatment of drug addiction.
The police checked more than 260 places where minors and young people usually gather. Participants of preventive measures organized more than 4 thousand anti-drug lectures and meetings.
Active work was carried out to remove advertising of drug stores. The police, together with activists of the Cyberpatrol project, discovered 34 Internet resources with pro-drug content. Data on them were transferred to the Office of Roskomnadzor in the Kursk region for blocking.
During the operational-search activities, almost 2.5 kilograms of various drugs were seized from illegal trafficking.
8 criminal cases were initiated on the facts of sale of prohibited substances. In addition, 48 administrative protocols were drawn up. The vast majority of them are related to drug use, the police department said.
