In Lahdenpohje opened a sports ground for the delivery of standards of the complex “Ready for Labor and Defense”. It is located next to general education and sports schools, the Ministry of Education of Karelia reported.

GTO standards will be adopted at the site. In addition, everyone can engage in physical education and sports here.

For residents, power street simulators, crossbars for pull-ups, equipment for workouts, push-up platforms and gymnastic shells were installed.

In 2026, new GTO sites are also planned to open in Kondopoga and the village of Kryvyi Porozh of the Kemsky district.

Earlier, street simulators were installed at the ski base of the Sports School No. 2 in Petrozavodsk.
