In the Lodeinopol hospital 10% more often began to diverge diagnoses

In the Lodeinopol interdistrict hospital, the number of cases has increased when the diagnosis that doctors made to a patient during life did not coincide with what the analysis showed after death. Senior expert of the 1st category of the department of the Territorial Authority of Roszdravnadzor Ivan Prosvirov announced a warning to the medical institution. This became known from the website of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation.

When analyzing the information received by the Territorial Authority of Roszdravnadzor for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region from the Health Committee of the Leningrad Region, data were obtained on the dynamics of discrepancies between clinical diagnoses established in medical organizations and diagnoses confirmed by pathoanatomical studies. In particular, in GBUZ Lodeynopol MB recorded an increase in the number of such discrepancies for the quarter by more than 10% compared to the previous quarter (ex. No. 4).

So, in the 2nd quarter there were 16 autopsies, discrepancies – 0 (that is, all the diagnoses coincided). There were 16 autopsies in Q3, but there were 3 discrepancies. That's 19 percent, almost one in five cases. And growth compared to the previous quarter rose by 19 percentage points, more than 10%.

A sharp increase in discrepancies in diagnoses is a signal of possible systemic failures in the work of the hospital: in diagnosis, documentation or organization of the treatment process. Roszdravnadzor issued a warning to the Lodeynopol Interdistrict Hospital and demanded to comply with the requirements of the law “On the Basics of Public Health Protection”.
