In Makhachkala began to run the first electric bus

An electric bus was launched in Makhachkala for the first time. He went to the route No. 5, where he used to run a trolleybus, according to the city administration.

The route runs along the key highways of the city, including Magomedtagirov Street, Imam Shamil, Gamidov and Rasul Gamzatov Avenues, as well as Dahadayev, Korkmasov, Tolstoy and Mohammed Hajiyev Streets.

Transportation is provided under a pilot project for one month. According to the results of the test operation, the city authorities will evaluate the effectiveness of the new car. If the project shows good results, next year the administration plans to purchase ten such buses and use them on routes that previously served trolleybuses.

The mayor’s office noted that the electric bus is environmentally friendly, maneuverable and a high level of comfort. It is equipped with modern equipment and ramps for passengers with limited mobility.
