In the Malovishersky district will finally build a water deironing station

On the street of the Revolution of the village of Bolshaya Visher, the construction of the long-awaited water deironing station begins, said Deputy Governor of the Novgorod region Ilya Krasheninnikov.

Now residents of the village receive water from artesian wells through water towers, but the key infrastructure is worn out. Well No. 6-75 was launched in 1975. For more than half a century it has developed its resources. According to laboratories, the water here exceeds the permissible indicators for turbidity, iron and permanganate oxidation. This affects the taste and transparency of water, but the main thing is that such water is not safe for people.

It was decided to correct the situation: a project of a modern deironing station is already being developed. Water will be passed through a two-layer filter and treated with ozone. It is expected that after it will comply with all standards.

The project is part of the federal program “Modernization of municipal infrastructure” of the national project “Infrastructure for life”.

Our common task is to conduct systematic work on updating housing facilities so that such basic things as drinking water from the tap are predictably high-quality and safe in every home. Next, only control of the timing and result at each stage, Ilya Krasheninnikov wrote on his VKontakte page.

The residents of Big Visher have been waiting for a long time. In June 2024, the administration of the Malovishersky district announced an electronic auction for the development of design and estimate documentation for the reconstruction of the deironing station - 1.7 million rubles were allocated for the design. The project of construction of the station was included in the district targeted investment program for 2023. The tender for construction and installation works was announced in December 2025. But only now officially announced the start of construction.

Poor water quality is a problem not only of the Malowvisher district, but also of the entire Novgorod region. In August 2026, Ilya Krasheninnikov reported at a visiting meeting of the regional government in Veliky Novgorod that the deterioration of networks and water supply facilities exceeds 85%. This has a direct impact on the quality of water – Novgorod residents complain at meetings with the population and in social networks.

The main problems are secondary pollution due to the high accident rate of old pipelines and worn-out networks in apartment buildings. 11 concession agreements have been concluded in the region, which will attract more than seven billion rubles and will allow to modernize the system for 380,000 Novgorod residents.
