In Krasnodar city hall told about the readiness of city services for the autumn-winter period

An important meeting of the commission on prevention and liquidation of emergency situations was held in Krasnodar - it was held by the acting head of the city Dmitry Vasiliev. Participants discussed how the city is prepared for difficult weather conditions, as well as how people will be sheltered at danger signals.

“Providing safe living conditions for people in the city is our main task. In case of bad weather, all services should act clearly and harmoniously, said Dmitry Vasiliev.

The main threats in winter and late autumn are heavy rains, melting snow and the risk of flooding. In order to quickly cope with the consequences, the city prepared everything necessary in advance: they formed special calculations for pumping water, purchased and checked motor pumps, and prepared a mobile pumping station.

Modern technologies help to monitor the situation: specialists of the Unified Dispatch Service (EDDS) conduct video monitoring of the main streets, intersections and important road objects through video surveillance cameras. In rural districts, there are five monitoring groups based on rescue and fire brigades – they quickly assess the situation and react if something goes wrong.

In order to keep roads safe, in winter, about 65 combined cars are planned to take to the streets - they will remove snow and treat the surface from ice. For pedestrian areas, special equipment was also prepared, and in advance they stocked up on sand and salt mixture.

Particular attention was paid to the smooth operation of vital systems. Specialists checked how ready the resource supplying organizations are, and formed emergency teams: 28 teams in the fields of electricity and heat supply and 29 at water supply and sanitation enterprises. In addition, they created stocks of equipment and materials, provided for backup sources of electricity and prepared special equipment.

Do not forget about fire safety. About 400 meetings have already been held with residents and more than 25,600 reminders with useful tips have been distributed. In Krasnodar schools, open safety lessons are held in a new format: ambulance staff, traffic police, as well as the mobile training base “Safety Laboratory” are connected to the classes.

Separately, they prepare for the New Year and Christmas holidays: additional classes are held in schools, where children are reminded that they cannot use pyrotechnics. And when the temperature drops and ice appears on the city water bodies, monitoring groups will begin to work again - they will monitor safety on the water, the press service of the Krasnodar administration reports.
