Michurin City Court Convicts Local Resident Found Guilty of Major Fraud
The Michurinsky city court has convicted a local resident found guilty of major fraud. The state prosecution in this case was supported by the city prosecutor's office.
As it was established during the proceedings, in the autumn of last year, the defendant submitted an application to the social services center for the conclusion of a social contract. He planned to use the money to develop his own business in the field of woodworking. However, when processing documents, the man was silent about the fact that he already has an income of more than 300 thousand rubles. Because of this, 350 thousand rubles were unreasonably transferred to him from the budget.
In court, the defendant did not admit guilt, but the evidence presented by the prosecution convinced the court otherwise. As a result, the man was sentenced to two years of suspended imprisonment with a probation period of two years. The civil claim of the injured party was satisfied in full. The sentence has not yet entered into force.
