At first, the unknown wrote to the woman in the messenger, introduced himself as a district inspector and warned about possible calls from scammers. Soon, the pensioner was contacted allegedly from the pension fund. The interlocutors informed about the recalculation of charges and asked to dictate the code from SMS.
After that, the pseudo-precinct contacted again and said that the woman had just passed on personal data to scammers. According to the legend of the attackers, loans were issued in her name, and the money was transferred to “criminal accounts”.
To intimidate the victim, the fraudsters reported that the apartment of the pensioner will be searched, and all cash will be seized if they are not declared. As a result, the Minsk woman gave a false employee of the National Bank about 35 thousand BYN in the equivalent.
