On October 8, a meeting of the joint board of the Union State Committee on Hydrometeorology will be held in Minsk

On October 8, Minsk will host the 82nd meeting of the joint board of the Union State Committee for Hydrometeorology and Monitoring of Environmental Pollution.

For more than a quarter of a century, the Joint Board has been a platform for a constructive dialogue, resolving issues in the field of hydrometeorology and related fields, exchanging experience, discussing current activities and promising scientific developments

- Within the framework of the meeting, a wide range of topical issues on the interaction of the state hydrometeorological services of Belarus and Russia will be considered. In particular, it will focus on the results of a pilot project to obtain meteorological data from aircraft in automatic mode, as well as analysis and proposals for the use of the data in the information systems of the Committee. The parties will discuss the use of satellite data to solve agrometeorology problems in the Russian Federation and Belarus, the course of pilot operation of the automatic meteorological measuring system AMIS-PELENG at the Gomel airfield and new solutions of Peleng for use in aviation meteorological and measurement and information meteorological systems of the two countries.

The meeting will traditionally be attended by the leadership of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Belarus, Roshydromet, Belhydromet, the CIS Executive Committee, as well as leading enterprises and organizations of hydrometeorological profile of Belarus and Russia.
