Early in the morning, the defendant was at the public transport stop “Beautiful” and saw a laptop on the bench. Instead of trying to return it to the owner, the attacker took the equipment himself.
Subsequently, law enforcement officers contacted him. It turned out that the property at the bus stop was forgotten by a girl who applied to the police, evaluating the laptop at 500 BYN. In relation to the resident of the capital opened a criminal case for theft.
- The accused is a pensioner, previously to criminal liability was not brought, — commented the Deputy Prosecutor of the Oktyabrsky district Yuri Sovlovets. He was charged with secret theft of property (theft), that is, in committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code, the sanction of which is up to three years in prison.
