The accused worked in a private company as a repairman. He urgently needed money, and he decided to hand over someone else's laptop to the pawnshop.
When the missing equipment was discovered, the head of the company appealed to the police. Another criminal case was opened against the master.
He fully admitted guilt in the incriminated crime, repented of what he had done, and voluntarily compensated for the damage caused.
- The accused has a higher education, is currently employed under a contract, has two dependent children, in March 2026 he was already convicted of a similar crime, said Margarita Potemkina, a senior assistant to the prosecutor of the Pervomaysky district, who acted in the criminal case as a state prosecutor. The court found him guilty of secret theft of property (theft) and on the basis of Part 1 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code, taking into account the previous sentence, imposed a final punishment in the form of a fine of 2,250 BYN.
