An 18-year-old previously unconvicted citizen, who was accused of committing theft, was sentenced, the prosecutor's office of the Zavodsky district told the "Minsk-Novosti" agency correspondent.

Passing in the early morning on Bachilo Street, the accused saw a parked Minsk motorcycle and decided to steal its engine in order to install it on his bike later. However, the young man failed to complete his intentions due to the lack of the right tool.

Not desperate, the attacker continued the Shaban promenade in search of a similar motorcycle. When such a one was found, the defendant drove it aside to start it, and then go to a secluded place and dismantle it. However, the young man did not succeed, so he only removed the gear lever worth 93.86 BYN from the bike.

Then he returned to the first motorcycle, cut the wires, then, locking them, started the engine and went into the forest, where he dismantled someone else's bike.

When the defendant installed the stolen parts on his motorcycle, he was detained by police officers. A criminal case was opened against the young "Kulibin".

He fully admitted his guilt in the court session, repented of what he had done.

— The accused has secondary education, he works as a manager in a private company, he was not previously prosecuted, — commented Viktor Klish, senior assistant prosecutor of the Zavodsky district. — The court found him guilty of secret theft of property (theft) and, on the basis of Part 1 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code, sentenced him to one year of correctional labor with a deduction of 25% of earnings at the main place of work to the state income, but not less than 1 base amount per month.
