According to the investigation, the 34-year-old man used his official position for personal enrichment. It was established that in the spring of 2025, he stole metal pipes (36 linear meters) intended for mounting communications from the construction site. For transportation, the attacker sawed the cargo into parts up to 4 meters long, and then gave instructions to drivers to load the property in dump trucks and take it to the point of receiving secondary raw materials. The man exchanged the stolen pipes for money.

Wanting to cover his tracks, the employee committed a forgery. He reported knowingly false information about the volume of actually carried out work on laying pipes. On the basis of these data, official documents were drawn up, which the foreman signed and transferred to the accounting office for payment.

The crime was discovered during the actual reconciliation of materials. Inventory confirmed the lack: in the areas where the pipes were to be laid, they were not.

Minchanin confessed to the abduction. The amount of damage caused to the organization amounted to more than 50 thousand BYN.

The investigators questioned witnesses and the accused, examined accounting and banking documentation, as well as information about telephone connections. The property of the accused has been seized.

The offender admitted his guilt and compensated the damage in full.

The actions of the foreman were qualified under Part 4 of Art. 210 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus (theft by abuse of official powers on an especially large scale) and Part 1 of Art. 427 of the Criminal Code (official forgery). The court sentenced him to 6 years imprisonment in a penal colony of enhanced security with a fine of 13,500 BYN with deprivation of the right to hold positions related to the performance of organizational, administrative and economic duties for 5 years. The measure of restraint was changed to detention in the courtroom.
