In Minsk, the employee of the store stole from the cash register a decent amount – learned the verdict of the court

The sentence was handed down to a 28-year-old previously unconvicted resident of the capital, who was accused of misappropriating the entrusted property, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency was told in the prosecutor's office of the Soviet district.

From July to August 2026, the defendant worked as a cashier in a store on the street. M. Bogdanovich was a financially responsible person. One day she noticed that the manager had forgotten at the next checkout card, which is used to cancel purchases, and quietly took it. Further, when calculating buyers, the attacker did not issue checks to some of them, canceled their purchases, taking the money for herself.

It is established that during the month the employee thus appropriated 1,310.82 BYN, which she spent on personal needs. When it was revealed, a criminal case was opened against a resident of the capital. The citizen fully admitted the guilt, repented of what she had done.

- The accused is officially employed, unmarried, has a dependent minor child, has not previously been brought to criminal responsibility, said Alexander Piskunova, senior assistant prosecutor of the Soviet district. The court found her guilty of embezzling property by the person entrusted to him, and on the basis of part 1 of article. 211 of the Criminal Code imposed a penalty in the form of deprivation of the right to engage in activities related to the reception, accounting, storage and disposal of commodity and material values for a period of 2 years 6 months with a fine in the state income in the amount of 50 basic units (2 250 BYN).
