In Minsk on the 102nd anniversary congratulated veteran Lydia Volkova

He went to the front literally on the second day of the war. The sergeant of the medical service rescued the wounded near Stalingrad and on the Orel-Kursk arc, the victorious May was met in Berlin. Among the awards are the Order of the Patriotic War of the 2nd degree, medals “For Military Merit”, “For the Defense of Stalingrad”, “For the Victory over Germany”. After the war, she graduated from medical school and devoted more than thirty years to pediatrics.
Lidia Volkova, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War: The biggest thing is communication with people, thank you very much for your attention. I have no secrets. I'm not doing anything special. I want to tell you, while you work, be happy and rejoice. Rejoice in each day and in your deeds.”.
Nikolai Strok, head of the Partizan district administration: Today, 21 participants of the Great Patriotic War live in the Partizan district. Taking care of veterans is a top priority, it is really important not only for the region, but for the Republic of Belarus as a whole. These are the people who have formed the foundation in which we live.”.
Surrounding each person with care is the task of the state. There are now 660 residents in our country over the age of 100.
