The measure of restraint in the form of detention was sanctioned against a 27-year-old previously unconvicted resident of the capital, who is accused of illegal trafficking of prohibited substances without the purpose of marketing, the Frunze district prosecutor’s office told the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti news agency.

Drug control officers detained a young man who, during a personal search, found a bundle of 0.93 g of mephedrone. A criminal case was opened against a resident of the capital. It is known that he abuses alcoholic beverages, and for more than six months uses psychoactive substances.
- The accused has a higher education - a diploma of an international lawyer. He is not officially employed anywhere, he lived at the expense of his mother and cohabitant, he was not previously prosecuted, said Andrei Serbun, deputy prosecutor of the Frunze district. He was charged with unlawful acquisition, storage and transportation of psychotropic substances without the purpose of marketing, that is, committing a crime under Part 1 of Art. 328 of the Criminal Code. The citizen fully admitted his guilt, refused to testify, using his legal right.
A preventive measure in the form of remand in custody has been authorized against the accused.
