In Minsk will install 50 containers to collect unnecessary clothes and shoes

Until the end of October, special containers will be installed in the Moscow and Frunze districts of Minsk, where residents will be able to hand over unnecessary clothes and shoes. This was reported in the press service of the State Institution “Operator of Secondary Material Resources”, writes sb.by.

Before delivery, things must be packed in a bag and lowered in a special container. The collected textiles will be sent for sorting and then for rag production, reuse and charity.

At the first stage, 50 new containers will be installed in the city. They will be placed separately from the existing container platforms, in places with high passability. This solution will help to avoid foreign waste and keep clothes clean.

- This initiative will make the delivery of unnecessary clothes more convenient for Minsk residents, help reduce the amount of municipal waste in the capital and give old things a chance for a second life, the press service added.
