In Minsk for nine months settled more than 400 rental apartments and 150 residential premises of social use

The total number of public housing apartments in Minsk is 17,800. Of these, for the first nine months of 2026, 400 rental and 150 residential premises for social use were found. Such data during an operational meeting in the Minsk City Executive Committee was brought by the director of the UE "Minsk city dormitories" Grigory Kazunko, reports sb.by.

According to the Minsk-Novosti news agency, out of this number, 97 rental residential premises were settled in the context of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 38 of January 27, 2025. According to the document, the renter can repair it at his own expense. Fees for the use of housing are not charged in proportion to the estimated cost of work performed.

- In addition, there are 42 hostels on the balance sheet of the enterprise, - Grigory Kazunko added. - More than 10 thousand people live in them. A program of overhaul of hostels for the next five years has been developed. It included 27 buildings.

- The possibility of providing a place in a hostel and rental housing is extremely important, - said the Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Vladimir Kukharev. - They will provide personnel for many areas and sectors of the economy, including industry, education, healthcare, housing and communal services. More than four hundred rental apartments were built in Brest for nine months of 2026
