The solemn event to the 74th anniversary of the formation of the security service was held in the Mogilev region, where distinguished employees of the Department of Security and veterans were presented with awards, as well as keys to 29 new rental apartments.

As noted by the head of the Mogilev Regional Department of the Department of Protection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Igor Drachev, veterans who stood at the origins of the service and passed on to the younger generation invaluable experience and the best traditions, as well as personnel who daily carry out difficult service and show an example of professionalism and loyalty to the oath.
- I would like to address special words of gratitude to the families of our employees. They provide the reliable service rear, which gives strength and supports in the most difficult moment, Igor Drachev stressed.
During the solemn meeting, close attention was paid to the social support of law enforcement officers. The delivery of keys to rental housing became part of systematic work to improve the living conditions of employees.
New apartments are provided to employees in Mogilev, Gorki, Klimovichi, Shklov, Kirovsk, Bykhov, Cherikova, Belynichy, Slavgorod, Chausy and Glusk. This scale of distribution underscores a systematic approach to support personnel in the field.
- State support in solving the housing issue serves as an effective incentive for further conscientious performance of official duties and strengthening the personnel potential of the department in the regions, Igor Ivanovich said.
Among the happy newcomers is the family of police sergeant Yulia Moiseenkova from the Goretsk security department. Previously, I had to crowd in the dormitory, which remained of the previous civil work. The housing issue was resolved surprisingly quickly - only a year passed from the moment of application to receipt of the keys.
- In fact, we are already fully equipping our two-room apartment - it is spacious, about 60 square meters. We really want to move before the New Year and celebrate the holiday in their home, Yulia shares her plans. It is important for every police officer to return from service to a place where it is comfortable, calm and possible to fully restore strength.
The keys to the new two-bedroom apartment were received by Gleb Mednik from the October Department of Security of Mogilev. Previously, the senior ensign of the police, together with his wife and three-year-old son, huddled in a removable “odnushka”. Rent significantly hit the family budget, and there was not enough space for the young family. Now the baby will have his own nursery. Gleb Mednick says:
- Previously, I had to pay a lot of money every month for someone else’s apartment. In addition, in rented housing, you will not change much, you will not make repairs for yourself. Now it's different: you come in and you know it's ours. Another big plus is the neighbors. The families of other Department staff members live nearby. We are always ready to give each other a shoulder and help, especially when men are on duty. And restoring strength after hard service in your own cozy house is much more pleasant.
