At the federal level, more than 260 apartments were provided in new buildings in Murmansk and Kola. In particular, doctors, teachers, engineers and other demanded specialists, as well as young families, will be able to get housing. Specific conditions for participation will be determined at the regional level.
The settlement is planned to begin in the fourth quarter of 2027. The program should help professionals and young families to solve the housing problem and make moving to the region more accessible.
The Affordable Rental Housing Program has been operating in the Arctic since this year. Previously, it was implemented in the Far East. Under this scheme, the state buys new apartments from developers and gives them to residents who belong to certain regional authorities categories.
