With the onset of autumn and a decrease in air temperature, cases of fog formation have become more frequent. Sometimes visibility is 100-500 meters. In this regard, drivers and pedestrians need to comply with some safety rules, which were recalled in the interior Ministry, writes sb.by.

According to the traffic police, drivers when driving in such weather conditions are recommended to choose the safest speed, which will stop within sight. In heavy fog, it can even be 20 km / h. You should increase the distance one and a half to two times, turn on the passing light and fog lamps. Far light in the fog can not be used, because it is reflected from drops of moisture in the air and blinds the driver. Also, there is no need to make sharp braking, rearrangements and overtaking. It is necessary to increase vigilance when passing crossings and intersections. Also, drivers are advised to remove all distractions: exclude loud music and the use of gadgets, if necessary, it is recommended to open the window to hear other cars.
- If the fog is too thick and it is impossible to continue driving - turn on the emergency light alarm, slowly slow down and leave the roadway at minimum speed, the police said. Be predictable: use light and, if necessary, audible signals in any maneuvers.
Pedestrians need to cross the road only in designated places, making sure that drivers see and pass them. Reflective elements must be used. Weekend weather in Belarus: fog, rain and from +7 °C to +23 °C
