The Ministry of Housing and Communal Services explained the procedure for informing the population about the inconsistency of drinking water with hygienic standards, as well as the termination or restriction of its supply. This sb.by reported in the press service of the Ministry.

The ministry said:
- According to Article 15 of the Law of March 12, 2026 No. 131-Z “On drinking water supply and sanitation (sewage)”, information on the inconsistency of drinking water with hygienic safety standards, as well as on the termination or restriction of drinking water supply should be brought to the population immediately, within a day.
Information is placed in the media, on the official websites of local executive and administrative bodies and organizations engaged in water supply and (or) water disposal (sewage), or communicated to citizens by other publicly available methods.
The department added that such information should contain information about the time limit for eliminating the detected nonconformity or malfunction, as well as decisions taken to stop or limit the supply of drinking water. In addition, it should indicate recommended actions in such a situation and precautions, as well as methods of additional preparation of drinking water or the place and time of release of drinking water.
