According to the administration of the library, fourth-graders from school No. 4 and NSS named after A.P. Pyrerky went on a fascinating journey through the pages of history. They talked about the legendary victory of the Russian fleet at Tendra under the command of Admiral Fedor Ushakov.
The boys learned why the admiral was so respected even by enemies, how he trained the accuracy of his sailors and why his battle tactics are still considered unique. We read a story from Fyodor Konyukhov’s book “How Admiral Ushakov Made the Black Sea Russian” and discussed what a merciful man the great naval commander was.
Not to be bored: the students themselves tried on the role of sailors! They staged a “naval quiz” for them, learned to transmit signals with flags and even “defeated” an improvised Turkish squadron.
In conclusion, the children got acquainted with a thematic book exhibition, and in memory of the meeting, each received a useful gift - a thematic bookmark.
