In the Novgorod district for 146 million rubles will repair the emergency bridge

In the village of Kotovitsy of the Novgorod district, according to the national project “Infrastructure for Life”, the bridge across the Nameless Creek on the ninth kilometer of the Dragunsky highway will be overhauled. Work is planned to be completed by July 1, 2027, the press service of the government of the Novgorod region reported.

The contractor will dismantle old structures, build new supports and spans, lay a road base and fresh asphalt, equip sidewalks, install fences and road signs, apply markings, organize a water drainage system.

The bridge was closed last year and declared an emergency. Now cars, as well as school and regular buses around the bridge on alternative routes.

The cause of critical defects of transverse beams in February 2025 was the passage of heavy equipment despite the established signs of weight restriction. After the bridge closed, some locals moved reinforced concrete blocks supplied by the contractor to drive through the emergency structure. The Minister of transport of the Novgorod region Konstantin Kuranov publicly urged residents not to take risks, noting that “it comes to the fact that drivers bring special equipment and push reinforced concrete blocks.”.

At first, the order of the government of the Novgorod region of March 4, 2025 No. 117-Rz movement on the bridge was prohibited until December 31, 2026, but then the period was extended until 2027.

The amount of the contract for major repairs of the bridge across the Bezymenny stream is 145,862,622.23 rubles.
