Nearly half of foreigners have confused the region for work

The police staged a raid on a construction site in Novoselya Lomonosov district. They checked 123 foreigners, and almost half found problems with documents. This was reported in the GU MIA in St. Petersburg and Leningrad region.

Employees of the migration department and special regiment participated in the inspection. Most of the visitors are from near abroad countries.

It turned out that 47 people worked in the region where they were granted the patent. Ten more worked without a patent. All the offenders were taken to police departments to investigate.

Police are also interested in the employer. He gave jobs to foreigners but broke the rules. Now they find out all the details, and then decide how to punish the perpetrators.

The department noted that such raids are carried out constantly under the control of the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Their goal is to catch those who violate immigration laws, including illegally employing foreigners.
