In Novosibirsk, two men will be tried for setting fire to a warehouse for 9 million
The Dzerzhinsky District Court of Novosibirsk on October 14 will begin to consider a criminal case against Dmitry Zheleznov and Alexander Koval.

According to the investigation, the men agreed to set fire to the warehouse of the company “MIER” on Korolev Street, where construction chemicals and related goods were stored.
The investigation believes that Dmitry Zheleznov in advance prepared a bag with a wick, a means to increase combustion and other necessary items. He hid it on the territory of the warehouse, and then informed Alexander Koval, where the building and things prepared for arson are.
On the night of May 18, 2025, Koval allegedly arrived at the warehouse, took the bag, poured fuel into the vent and set fire to the wick. After that, a fire started in the room.
As a result, the fire destroyed and damaged the company's property for 8.95 million rubles.
The men were charged under part 2 of article 167 of the criminal code of the Russian Federation. This article provides for liability for intentional destruction or damage to other people's property, including by arson. The maximum penalty is up to five years of forced labour or imprisonment.
Earlier, “MK in Novosibirsk” reported that in the Toguchinsky district, a man was suspected of setting fire to a store, which was damaged by 1 million rubles.
