In Novosibirsk began to remake the facade of the old bus station on Red Avenue

In Novosibirsk, the owner of the building of the former bus station on Krasny Prospekt, 4, began to rebuild the facades. Work is carried out legally, but the question of further use of the unfinished object remains open.

As explained in the Department of construction and architecture, October 2, 2026 the owner approved and issued a passport of the facades. After that, work began to change the appearance of the building.

In late October, citizens noticed near the former bus station construction equipment. Workers dismantled part of the wall overlooking Red Avenue. However, the city administration clarified that it is about the reconstruction of the facades, and not about the complete demolition of the structure.

The reconstruction of the building remains unfinished. The first and third stages of the project, including an extension and landing platforms with a canopy, have not yet been put into operation and are listed in the cadastre as objects of unfinished construction.

Earlier, an inspection of the regional Inspectorate of State Construction Supervision revealed the lack of necessary measures to conserve unfinished facilities. According to the agency, such a condition of structures can pose a threat to the life and health of people.

In this regard, the inspection appealed to the court with the requirement to oblige the developer to ensure proper conservation. In parallel, the mayor’s office filed a lawsuit against the owners, demanding restoration work within a year or demolish the objects within two months after the expiration of this period.

At the end of September, the court proceedings were consolidated. On October 14, the case was suspended for construction and technical expertise. Specialists should assess the condition of structures and establish the presence of a possible threat to others.

Thus, despite the beginning of work on the renovation of the facade, the final decision on the fate of the former bus station has not yet been made.

Earlier, “MK in Novosibirsk” reported on the demand of the mayor’s office to restore or demolish the old bus station on Krasny Prospekt.
