October 10 in Novosibirsk Akademgorodok will be farewell to the scientist and engineer Andrei Dudnikov, whom many residents knew as “Jesus on a bicycle”.
According to the publication, the farewell ceremony will be held from 11:00 to 12:00 on Arbuzov Street, 2a. A memorial dinner is scheduled for 13:00 at the restaurant of the House of Scientists on Sea Avenue, 23.
Andrei Dudnikov died on October 6 after a serious illness. He was 58 years old.
For more than 30 years he worked as an engineer and leading engineer at the Institute of Semiconductor Physics named after A.V. Rzhanov SB RAS and the Institute of Nuclear Physics named after G.I. Budker SB RAS. Dudnikov was engaged in physics and technology of charged particle accelerators, plasma physics and optics, was the author of scientific publications and patents.
Residents and students of Akademgorodok also remembered him for his image and cycling trips, for which he received the nickname “Jesus on a bicycle”.
