The celebration of the Day of National Unity in Gomel ended with a big concert in the City Center of Culture, where the best songs about Belarus were heard from the stage. This large-scale musical event gathered a full hall, becoming for hundreds of citizens a personal story of sincere pride in their native country. The correspondent sb.by plunged into the festive atmosphere of the evening.

Even before the beginning of the program, the lobby of the center of culture resembled the place of a large and long-awaited meeting. Entire work groups and families came here, young people, residents and guests of the city united here. People congratulated each other on the holiday, smiled, shared a good mood and were actively photographed at the original photo zones - everyone wanted to keep in mind this warm September evening and convey to their relatives at least a piece of general joy.
Particular attention of the guests was attracted by ethnographic exhibitions, which were deployed in the foyer of the city's educational institutions. Schools of the regional center presented colorful farmsteads with handmade dolls. Here is a unique exposition, which in detail reflects the features of traditional folk costumes of different areas of the Gomel region.

Then the holiday smoothly moved into the auditorium. On the main stage, the leading creative teams of the region presented a special program, where folk motifs harmoniously intertwined with modern rhythms. The hall picked up familiar and beloved melodies about Belarus from the first chords, turning the concert into one big sincere dialogue between the stage and the audience.

- To perform on such a significant day is always reverent and very important both for me and for our entire team. Every holiday brings excitement, but this day is exceptional. Singing to the accompaniment of the orchestra thematic works that were selected specifically for the date is a great pride. Now I sang a song from the repertoire of Anna Trubetskaya to the words of Natalia Tambovtseva and the music of Leonid Shirin. All our great creative team is very pleased to congratulate the country on such an important holiday. I do not have my own material yet, but I will definitely strive for this. I want to express my love for my native land through my own music.

- Participation in such patriotic events has become a constant tradition for me. Today, a lot of people gathered in the hall of the GCC, and this is a great opportunity to meet, share kindness and actually feel our unity. On this day, we feel special pride for Belarus and true patriotism. We are sincerely grateful for our peaceful sky and for the fact that the Belarusian people have always been distinguished by warmth and goodwill. September 17 is the historic date when the two halves of our country, divided for 18 years, were reunited. And today, in this room, we really feel our common, indissoluble unity.

- The festive day for us began in the morning: a single information hour dedicated to the Day of National Unity was held at the school, so we were imbued with this atmosphere from half past nine. And the concert in the GCC was a bright addition to the mood that had already been created. We are very pleased that this holiday was established in 2021. It is important to talk about this and it is necessary to remember that the younger generation appreciates and respects their history. Seeing the situation in the world, you understand that such lessons are simply necessary for students. We are now moving in the right direction. The main values for any Belarusian are to live under a peaceful sky, calmly raise children, build families and create a happy future. And all the work being done is aimed at that.

On this note, common to the whole hall, the festive evening in the City Center of Culture ended. But the very feeling of cohesion and warmth Gomel residents took with them, taking it to their homes, families and working groups.
