In Orel, on the site of the unfinished power building of the plant "Baby" plan to build a house. The mayor of the city, Yuri Parakhin, agreed on the architectural appearance of the building on Polesskaya Street in the Soviet district of the regional center. The document was signed by the mayor on September 16, 2026.
As follows from the text of the resolution, the application was received from LLC Specialized Developer Center (GC Zenit). The object will be located at the address: Orel city, Poleska street, 28d. It will be a 19-storey apartment building with an area of 35,050.4 square meters. According to experts of the Orel administration, it will meet the requirements for the architectural and town-planning appearance of the capital construction object specified in the town-planning regulations.
According to the publication “Orelgrad”, in 2020, the developer presented the scheme. It was supposed to preserve the fourth part of the energy housing of the former plant "Baby" - located between the building of energy sales and the garage cooperative, with the purpose of reconstruction for non-residential premises. The rest is demolished. A multisectional house was planned in the liberated territory. Previously, the land was transferred from the production zone to the public business zone. At the moment, the plot has the type of permitted use - apartment buildings 9-25 floors (except for technical). At the beginning of the year, the State Historical and Cultural Expertise gave a positive opinion on the construction. Archaeological heritage, monuments or objects with signs of value were not found on the site on Polesskaya.
