In Orel continues cleaning of fallen foliage

Employees of Spetsavtobaza continue to clean the parks and squares of the Eagle. Recently, order was restored in the squares named after Semashko, Polikarpov, Family and on the Boulevard of Victory. Every day 85 workers are involved in cleaning public areas in the city. City Hall reports.

The department also noted that the Orlovites often have a question: why remove leaves from lawns, if over time they turn into humus and enrich the soil? He said the city is not a forest. The foliage along the roads accumulates toxins, interferes with the growth of lawn grass and creates emergency situations on the roads, making the coating slippery.

“The harvesting of fallen leaves is therefore an important part of the autumn care of urban lawns. It helps maintain the cleanliness of public spaces, preserve grass cover and ensure the safety of Oryol residents, the city administration concluded.
