More than 900 pregnant women receive a single allowance from the Social Fund branch in the Orel region. This is reported in the press service of the department.

Since the beginning of 2026, about 89.2 million rubles have been allocated for payments to future mothers. Financial and social assistance covers different categories of women, from working women to students. Since the beginning of 2026, 915 recipients in the region have received a single benefit. To make a payment, you need to register in the women's consultation before 12 weeks of pregnancy. The allowance will be appointed taking into account a comprehensive assessment of need. Its size can be 50%, 75% or 100% of the subsistence minimum of the working population. In 2026 in the Orel region it is 19 198 rubles.

Officially working future mothers can also count on the support of the state. Maternity benefit is paid in the amount of 100% of average earnings for the previous 2 years before leaving for maternity leave. Since the beginning of the year, almost 1,500 expectant mothers have received such a payment.

Since September 1, 2025, the Social Fund is the operator of maternity benefits for students. Now it is calculated not depending on the size of the scholarship in the university, but depending on the subsistence minimum for the able-bodied population. The money is transferred immediately for the entire period of vacation, that is, for 140 calendar days. In 2026, 82 residents of the region who combine study and motherhood received payments.
