In the Orel region, a farmer made a grain dryer on wood

In the Orel region in 2026, the farmer Viktor Chesnokov from the Znamensky district launched its own mine-type grain dryer, which is able to dry up to 250 tons of grain per day. This is reported by the newspaper “Orlovskaya Pravda”.

According to colleagues, the farmer decided to upgrade the equipment, because the gas main is far away. Now the technique works on firewood. To dry 20 tons of grain takes only one cubic meter of wood.

The publication notes that farmers from other farms in the Orel region come to Viktor Chesnokov to learn how to use this technology.
