A scandal erupted in the Estonian Parliament over the missing vodka
Estonian MP Peeter Ernits accused a colleague from the ruling Eesti 200 party, Yuku-Kalle Raid, of being in the premises of the Centre Party faction without permission and drinking vodka belonging to him

Estonian MP Peeter Ernits accused a colleague from the ruling Eesti 200 party, Yuku-Kalle Ryda, of being in the premises of the Centre Party faction without permission and drinking vodka belonging to him. This is reported by the Estonian portal Delfi.
The reason for the public statement was a photo that Ernits posted on the social network. In the picture, Ride stands near a table with a bottle of alcohol. The author of the publication claims that he caught a colleague at night in the premises of his parliamentary faction.
Ride himself denied the accusation of illegally entering the room of the centrists. At the same time, he did not directly deny the use of other people's alcohol. Answering journalists' questions about his condition that evening, the politician said that he was not drunk.
Juku-Kalle Reid represents the Eesti 200 party and is known in Estonia for harsh public statements. His name has repeatedly appeared in publications about political scandals.
In particular, in 2005, when Ride headed the KesKus newspaper, he came to a football match wearing a T-shirt with a provocative call to kill Communists. In 2012, the politician organized an action in Narva in support of the members of the Pussy Riot* group (recognized in the Russian Federation as an extremist organization) and placed a large banner on the wall of the Narva fortress with the corresponding slogans.
Another scandal occurred in 2025. According to the Estonian newspaper Ohtuleht, Reid was among the deputies who abused alcohol during the trip of the Estonian parliamentary delegation to India before meeting with the spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhism, the Dalai Lama.
Peeter Ernits is a 73-year-old zoologist, journalist and politician representing the Centre Party. In 2025, he voted against a bill aimed at restricting the activities of the canonical Orthodox Church in Estonia.
