More than seven thousand residents of the Penza region became participants in a large-scale environmental campaign “Water of Russia”
More than seven thousand residents of the Penza region became participants in a large-scale environmental campaign “Water of Russia”. The events took place from April to October. During these months, volunteers put in order about 190 kilometers of coastlines and adjacent areas of water bodies. More than 550 cubic meters of various garbage were removed from these territories.
The highest activity was shown by residents of Bashmakovsky, Gorodische and Mokshan districts.
The organizer was the Ministry of Forestry of the Penza region. Specialists of the department note with satisfaction that the number of volunteers is only growing every year. This indicates that Penza residents are careful about the nature of their native land and strive to pass it clean to future generations. The organizers expressed their sincere gratitude to all participants for their indifference and work done.
