In Petrozavodsk presented a collection of fairy tales with author's illustrations of Karelian masters

Within the walls of the National Library of Karelia, a presentation of the book “Russian Fantastic Tales” was held, published by the local publishing house “Ostrov”. The collection includes six folklore works collected in different parts of the country. Particular value is given to the publication by art illustrations created by recognized masters of decorative and applied arts of the region - Julia Gushchina and Alexander Krylov. Their works are made in a classical manner, characteristic of children's literature.

Participants of the event highly appreciated the results of the publishing group, calling the book a significant cultural event. The presentation was held in a solemn and fabulous atmosphere: the musical design was provided by students of K. Rautio College and performer Vasily Krylov. The bright accent of the evening was a theatrical production based on the fairy tale “Katenka, three-eyed and evil stepmother”, presented by the artists of the Chichiliushka theater. Those who wish can purchase a copy of the book at the library kiosk.
