In Petrozavodsk starts the festival of environmental cinema “Ecocup”
From October 16 to 18, residents and guests of the Karelian capital will be able to attend screenings of rare documentary films about nature

From October 16 to 18, residents and guests of the Karelian capital will be able to attend screenings of rare documentary films about nature. The program of the festival "Ekocushka" (12+) includes exclusive paintings from Russia, Italy and Canada, which cannot be found in free access on the Internet.
The feature of the event is not only views, but also live discussions. Guest experts from Karelia will analyze the topics raised in the films and correlate them with the environmental agenda of our region.

October 16 (19:00), KC "First platform" (Liteinaya Street, 3):
“On People and Whales” (V. Grishin, Russia) – about the life of marine mammals off the coast of Sakhalin.
Queen Mother (E. N. Tremolada, Italy) is a story about bee breeding. Expert: Ilya Timin.
October 17 (14:00), Vodlozersky National Park (44 Parkova Street):
Science of Life. Discussion with biologist Olga Smirnova, a specialist in environmental monitoring of the park.
October 18 (14:00), KC "First platform":
We Are Others (F. Moltini, Italy) – about the work of the Campan brothers and their connection with nature. Experts: A. Ignoeva, I. Pavlov, M. Rozhina.
The geography of loneliness (T. Sadler, Canada) is a study of the ecological footprint of a person using the example of an ecologist’s life on an island. Expert: Philip Uchuvatkin.
