In the village of Nerl Teykov district of the Ivanovo region, the opening of the monument to the Romanov dynasty took place. The sculptural composition was installed with the financial assistance of philanthropist Andrei Gusarov, the district administration reported.
The monument is dedicated to Nicholas II, his wife Alexandra Fedorovna and their children – Olga, Tatiana, Maria, Anastasia and Alexei. The administration noted the historical role of the Romanov dynasty, whose representatives were in power in Russia for more than three centuries. The organizers of the ceremony presented the family of the last emperor as a symbol of family cohesion, love and mutual support.
The opening ceremony was attended by the rector of the church “Indrinkable Chalice” hegumen German, the head of the Teykov district Vitaly Katkov and philanthropist Andrei Gusarov.
