In Pyatigorsk, the contractor destroyed the alley of trees during the repair of sewers

In Pyatigorsk, an incident related to the unfair implementation of works on the reconstruction of sewer networks is gaining public resonance. The head of the city, Dmitry Voroshilov, reported a gross violation of production technology, which led to the mass death of green spaces on the Costa Khetagurov street.

Through the fault of the contractor, the root system of 36 trees was completely destroyed during excavation work. Because of the barbaric approach, the plantings immediately became emergency, creating a real threat of collapse on the roadway and sidewalks.

Specialists of the city administration have already recorded the fact of environmental damage and handed over all the necessary materials to the police. Unfortunately, it is impossible to restore the trees - they will have to be removed urgently to avoid tragedy.

“The costs of tree removal and the full compensatory cost will be recovered from the perpetrator. Irresponsibility will not remain unpunished, said Dmitry Voroshilov.

The ironic twist of the incident was that the consequences of negligence appeared immediately: one of the damaged trees collapsed directly on the car, in which the contractors themselves arrived at the facility.

Earlier it was reported that the mayor of Pyatigorsk checked the construction of the stadium and a new school.
