In Russia started the IV season of the award “Service” for the best municipal teams

In Russia, a new, IV season of the All-Russian Municipal Award “Service” is launched – a key platform for recognizing the best practices of local self-government. The event is held within the framework of the forum “Small Motherland – Power of Russia” and is a permanent tool for supporting the municipal community. The Organizing Committee was established by the Decree of the President of Russia, it is headed by First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Sergey Kiriyenko, and the organizer is VARMSU.

The scale of the award demonstrates its relevance: last season, season III, 63,397 applications were submitted, 1.6 million people took part in the People’s Vote, and 40 winners and laureates received deserved recognition. An important feature is the direct involvement of residents who vote for initiatives important to their territories. The professionalism of the teams is also growing: 34% of the participants of the last season re-applyed (against 7% a year earlier), which makes the award an effective platform for exchanging working solutions.

This year the program has been expanded to nine nominations. One of them is the Digital Municipality – Technology for People. The award helps to scale successful experience: from the development of territories and support for families to the introduction of modern technologies, making the best solutions available to colleagues across the country.

Smolensk municipal teams are invited to participate actively. The region already has successful experience: for example, the initiative “Revival of the Vysokoe estate” took third place in the nomination “Development of the territory – well-being of residents”, and the project from Roslavl to open groups for children with musculoskeletal disorders entered the TOP-100 best.

Applications are accepted through a personal account on the Municipality.RF portal until November 29, 2026. The awarding of the winners will be held in April 2027 at the forum “Small Motherland – Power of Russia”.
