In Russian schools will update the curriculum for 10-11 grades
The Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation officially enshrined a new federal state educational standard for high school students

The Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation officially enshrined a new federal state educational standard for high school students. The order, dated September 17, 2026, introduces updated training rules that will take effect from the beginning of the next academic year - September 1, 2027.
The key innovation lies in the variability of educational trajectories. Students will be able to choose either a basic level of training or an in-depth study of disciplines in one of six areas: from technological and natural science to humanitarian and socio-economic. In addition, educational institutions are allowed to form specialized classes (for example, engineering, medical or psychological-pedagogical).
The document also introduces strict requirements for the material and technical equipment of schools. Cabinets should be equipped with modern training facilities, including virtual laboratories and specialized instruments such as microscopes or rocket models.
As for the load, in two years of study, schoolchildren must pass from 2312 to 2516 academic hours, which corresponds to a maximum of 37 lessons per week. The compulsory program includes a wide range of subjects: from basic sciences (mathematics, physics, chemistry) to humanitarian disciplines and OPZR. Language learning will depend on the needs of parents and the resources of a particular school.
