A 77-year-old local resident applied to the duty station. She received a call from unknown persons and was informed that her pension was not being calculated correctly. To make the changes, the woman was asked to dictate the code from the message.

After that, she was contacted by false employees of financial monitoring and law enforcement agencies. They convinced the pensioner that her personal data was taken over by attackers. To save her savings, the woman was offered to cash the money and transfer it to a trustee. The victim fulfilled the instructions and handed the courier 2 million rubles. Realizing that she had been deceived, she went to the police.
As a result of operational-search activities, criminal investigation officers detained the suspect. A criminal case has been opened under the article on fraud. The court chose the defendant a preventive measure in the form of detention. The police identify accomplices and other episodes of illegal activity.
