In the Ryazan region, a firefighter died in the line of duty

The life of Ruslan Volkov, who devoted more than 28 years to the fire service, was cut short. He died on October 11, the press service of the GU EMERCOM in the Ryazan region reported.

Ruslan Volkov was born on September 3, 1971 in the village of Sokolovka. From 1993 to 2010, he continuously served in the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and since 2014 he worked as a firefighter in the PSG No. 35 of the city of Rybnoe.

At the end of September, a blood collection was announced for the injured firefighter, to which more than 40 donors came, but it was not possible to save the man's life.

During the years of service, Ruslan Volkov was awarded many departmental awards, including the medal “For Distinction in Service” of II and III degrees, the badge “Excellent Firefighter” and the commemorative medal “Marshal Vasily Chuikov”.
