In Samara University opened a laboratory for training communication engineers
The Volga State University of Telecommunications and Informatics (PSUTI) opened a laboratory to study the design, configuration and protection of communication networks

The Volga State University of Telecommunications and Informatics (PGUTI) opened a laboratory to study the design, configuration and protection of communication networks. Practical classes will help future engineers gain the skills necessary to work with telecommunications infrastructure.
At the new site, students will simulate accidents on communication lines, configure backup optical routes and check the stability of networks in case of failures. Domestic control systems are provided for monitoring equipment and connections. Students will also master the administration of networks, setting up data transmission and delimiting access to resources, the press service of MegaFon reported.
Andrey Kristofovich, Director of the Transport Network Development Department of the operator, noted that the laboratory will reduce the gap between theoretical training and practice. According to him, familiarity with the equipment and work tasks during the study will help graduates to quickly adapt to professional activities.
PGUTI Rector Vadim Ruzhnikov stressed that the university strives to train specialists capable of applying knowledge to solve real problems of the industry. He added that cooperation with industrial partners helps to combine educational programs with practical training and build competencies to protect critical IT infrastructure.
The laboratory complements the joint educational initiatives of the university and the company. The Faculty of Communication Systems and Networks already has courses on the design and operation of access networks, as well as on the analysis and configuration of telecommunications infrastructure.
