In Saransk, the participant of the scheme of extortion in the sauna was sent to trial

In Mordovia completed the investigation of a 46-year-old resident of Saransk, who is accused of extortion and bringing a minor to a crime. The materials were transferred to the court, the republican prosecutor's office said.

According to the investigation, in November 2025, three men decided to illegally receive a million rubles. To do this, they used a 15-year-old schoolgirl who invited a resident of Saransk to the sauna, hiding her real age. When the couple arrived at the scene, one of the accomplices, who worked there as a security guard, called the others.

The man was threatened with criminal prosecution, posing as law enforcement officers, and demanded money. The victim was able to collect 500 thousand rubles and handed them to the accused. The amount received by the participants of the scheme was divided.

A resident of Saransk admitted guilt and agreed to cooperate with the investigation. The final decision in the case will now be taken by the court.
