In the Saratov region opened a criminal case because of threats against the investigator. This is reported by the press service of the regional department of the Investigative Committee.

The case was a 45-year-old local resident who caused a serious accident two years ago. The procedural check on the fact of the accident was conducted by the Investigative Committee, and according to the results of the work of the employee of the department, the man was sentenced to compulsory work.

Two years after serving his sentence, the citizen decided to commit an act of revenge. In the early days of October 2026, he twice contacted a female investigator by phone, announcing his intentions to take her life.

After the arrest of the aggressor against him initiated proceedings under part 1 of article 318 of the criminal code of the Russian Federation, which provides responsibility for the threat of violence to the representative of the government. In the near future, the court will consider a petition for the election of a preventive measure for the suspect.
