In the village of Shikhobalovo Yuryev-Polish district consecrated a new temple
After the consecration, a procession was held, then the archpastors performed the Divine Liturgy.
The rite of consecration was conducted by Metropolitan Nikandr of Vladimir and Suzdal. He was served by Bishop Stefan of Alexandrov and Yuriev-Polish, Secretary of the Diocesan Administration of Priest Nikolai Goyuk, clerk of the Assumption Cathedral of Vladimir, Priest Vasily Vilchu, rector of the Ascension Church of Vladimir, Priest Boris Semyonov, personal secretary of Metropolitan Hieromonk Makariy and clergy of the Alexandrov diocese.
After the consecration, a procession was held, then the archpastors performed the Divine Liturgy. The temple was built with the participation of JSC "Shikhobalovo" in honor of the holy princes Svyatoslav and Dimitri. It is dedicated to the princes whose memory is connected with the history of the Yuryev-Polish land.
The service was attended by Deputy head of the district administration Sergey Kiselev, General Director Anatoly Monastyrsky, Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the region Vyacheslav Kartukhin, Rector of VlSU Anzor Saralidze, employees of the enterprise and residents of the village. On the day of consecration, church awards were also presented to people who contribute to the life of their native land and the cause of mercy.
